The responsibility of health and safety in an organisation typically lies with appointed managers. However, there are issues around health and safety that anyone within an organisation needs to be aware of. This course looks at how to comply with health and safety regulations and also what to be aware of from a day-to-day point of view. The course covers:
- Responsibilities and what health and safety is, what the law says, how to comply, your health and safety policy
- Day-to-day health and safety display screen equipment, using machinery/technology, signposting, manual handling, occupational health
- Emergency procedures and your emergency policies, first aid, fire, reporting an emergency
Reporting and prevention Assessing and handling risk, preventing accidents
